Innovation Lab across 4 subsidiaries
Client’s Innovation Lab was established to drive corporate transformation and foster innovation. I trained and guided PMO staff to effectively manage risks, financials, and OKRs, ensuring consolidated and validated reporting to the leadership team. I coached the leadership in Agile and sustainable leadership principles, introducing practical collaboration practices that reduced personal and team overload while cultivating resilient behavior patterns within teams. Concurrently, I refined the change management concept and maintained regular communication to ensure alignment. Additionally, I oversaw the preparation and facilitation of quarterly steering committee meetings and continuously enhanced the overarching PMO methodology to support ongoing project success.
Hybrid-agile SAP S4/HANA Transformation
The client aimed to establish a Lean Digital Core based on SAP S/4HANA, designed to enable data-driven decision-making and proactively anticipate customer needs. Central to this initiative was the integration of key SAP components such as SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP Fiori, all implemented in alignment with a structured SAP transformation roadmap.
To support delivery, a hybrid-agile way of working was defined, documented within an Agile Playbook, and progressively embedded across the project organisation. The SAP transformation was closely coordinated with the C-level leadership, operationalised at middle management level, and supported through targeted guidance for the involved teams.
A particular focus was placed on the agile implementation of SAP modules, with sprint cycles tailored to the specific requirements of the SAP system landscape. User Stories and Epics were carefully structured and prioritised, taking into account SAP-specific extension models such as In-App and Side-by-Side Extensions, in line with the Clean Core strategy.
In the regulated environment, the SAP Solution Manager was utilised to ensure GxP compliance, serving as the central platform for test management, documentation, and validation. Validation deliverables were embedded into the agile Definition of Done, ensuring alignment with both regulatory standards and agile delivery principles.
OKR Transformation
Design and leadership of an Agile Excellence Centre to realign the ongoing transformation of the central Marketing and Sales department towards a shared and meaningful objective with measurable outcomes. For this purpose, the organisational and procedural frameworks were defined, including a regular budgeting process, alignment of budgets with team OKRs, management coaching, and regular exchange formats with decision-making bodies. In addition, cultural aspects (e.g., rewards and recognition, supporting behaviour patterns, social networks) had been introduced to anchor achievements in the long run.
Cross-functional collaboration fosters cohesion when shared rules of engagement are negotiated and respected.
